Guru Sandesh Khalsa, ND, is vice president of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medicine Colleges and Dean of the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine. Khalsa graduated from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, in 1978. He began working at NCNM immediately thereafter, service in a variety of capacities from 1979-2002. These have included full time member of the faculty, with both classroom and clinic teaching duties; Department Chair; Associate Dean of Academics; Chief Academic Officer and Interim President.  Khalsa served from 1991-1997 as a member of the Oregon Ryan White Title II HIV Advisory Consortium. He maintained a clinical practice in naturopathic mediocine at the Portland Naturopathic Clinic, NCNM's teaching clinic, from 1979-2003. Khalsa also served 1988-1997 as an instructor for Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

Khalsa also has a long history of involvement with accreditation activity, most significantly with the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education. He represented NCNM as an institutional member from 1996-2002, including a three-year term as president, from 1998-2001. After being selected to serve as Dean of the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport in 2004, Khalsa renewed his relationship with the CNME, where he has served as an institutional member since 2007. Khalsa has participated in numerous site visits, for both CNME and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Khalsa represents his program on the board of the AANMC.
