Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, National Board of Chiropractic Examiners

Since 1986, Horace Elliott has been the chief operating officer of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE), a national academic and professional testing corporation with international opportunities and interests. In his duties as NBCE Executive Vice President, he is responsible for the general business, finances and other affairs of the corporation, as well as managing and executing the various policies and goals of the corporation as established by an eleven-member Board of Directors. Prior to work with NBCE, Elliott had 20 years of experience in administrative and executive management positions, including manager of communications and scientific affairs with the Bendix Corporation, and director of administration with the Houston office of Price Waterhouse/Coopers. He is a graduate of Lamar University.

Elliott is actively involved in his community, including the Greeley/Weld Chamber of Commerce and was a Chamber representative to the City of Greeley Planning Commission for review of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. He is also a member of Rotary International and served on the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the NBCE, Mr. Elliott has also served seven years in public education as an instructor and administrator.

Elliott has received numerous awards from the chiropractic profession including the George Arvidson Award for Meritorious Service to Chiropractic Licensure, Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, and two honorary doctorates, one from Texas Chiropractic College and the American College of Chiropractic.
